One of the most important parts of a semester abroad is the preparation in advance. Booking a flight, finding a suitable and cheap apartment, getting vaccinations and making checklists about, what to bring to the country, you will live in for almost half a year. The first thing to think about is, when to start with the preparations. I can just recommend to start as early as possible, because then you don’t come under time pressure. Also the flights are most of the time cheaper, the earlier you book them, except you book a last minute flight but then you have to be very adventureous. :D
